Glenbrook Rotary Markets organise the local markets for the area, running every two weeks. They're generally well known through the community and word of mouth, but they were spending a lot of time fielding the same questions over and over via Facebook. When's the next market? Who's going to be there? How do I get a stall? Pixite stepped in to give them a proper website where all of that repetitive information could live in one place.

The site serves both curious locals and visitors looking for market dates, and potential stallholders who want to know more about having a stall. The calendar automatically updates to show the next market dates on a fortnightly cycle, with a live countdown so people can just check the site rather than scrolling through Facebook posts.

For the stallholder listings, Glenbrook Rotary use a specialised piece of software to manage and organise their stallholders. We tapped into the exposed XML feed from that system and set up a cron job on the server to periodically generate an up-to-date list of upcoming stallholders. So not only can visitors see when the next market is, they can see who's going to be there, all without anyone having to manually update the site.
